Esports Nations Cup 2026 Announces 16-Game Lineup and $45M Commitment
16 Games Take Center Stage at the First Esports Nations Cup
The Esports Foundation (EF) has finalized the battlefield for its newest global initiative. The Esports Nations Cup (ENC) will officially launch its inaugural edition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, running from November 2 through November 29, 2026. Designed as a biennial global esports competition, the massive event shifts the traditional competitive focus away from privately owned club organizations. Instead, the ENC prioritizes national pride, requiring the world’s best players to compete strictly for their countries and territories.
The undertaking expects to draw over 100,000 competing players. Throughout 2026, these competitors will battle through hundreds of qualification events spread across 100 distinct markets, all vying for the opportunity to represent their home nations on a premier global stage.
A Diverse 16-Game Roster
The confirmed 16-game lineup spans multiple distinct genres, curated to reflect the broad reach and diversity of global esports. The official competitive roster includes: Apex Legends, Chess, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, EA SPORTS FC, Fatal Fury, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG: Battlegrounds, PUBG MOBILE, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, Street Fighter 6, Trackmania, and VALORANT.
By including everything from tactical shooters and massive multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBAs) to fighting games and digital chess, the event caters to highly varied global player bases. Fabian Scheuermann, Chief Games Officer at the Esports Foundation, addressed the strategy behind these titles.
“The full ENC 2026 games lineup wasn’t built around the biggest titles alone, but to create the broadest possible footprint,” said Scheuermann.
He elaborated further on the inclusion of varied game communities:
“No single game can do that – different titles reach different regions and communities, and bringing them together is what makes the ENC truly open. The same applies to national reach: some titles open pathways in a few countries, some extend across dozens. Working hand-in-hand with our partners, we’re creating a shared stage for millions of people, opening opportunities for talent to break through and giving communities a reason to rally behind their teams, bringing esports to every corner of the world.”
India’s Representation Led by NODWIN Gaming
For the rapidly growing Indian market, the EF has tapped NODWIN Gaming—a global leader in gaming, esports, and youth entertainment—as the official National Team Partner. NODWIN will take full charge of India’s national representation at the prestigious tournament in Riyadh.
The company will organize the nationwide qualifiers and manage all team formation duties to build the Indian roster. Additionally, NODWIN Gaming will mobilize grassroots and competitive communities, support the selected coaches across the different game titles, and work directly with publishers, clubs, and other ecosystem stakeholders. This coordinated local effort will establish the necessary pathways for Indian players to compete effectively and represent the country internationally.
Unprecedented Financial Infrastructure
The Esports Nations Cup operates with an immense $45 million (approximately INR 416 crore) funding commitment. A significant portion of this total investment—$20 million (approximately INR 185 crore)—is designated directly as the prize pool. This pool is paid straight to the players and coaches across all 16 titles.
Crucially, the ENC implements a transparent prize structure featuring strict equal pay per player and coach for the exact same finishing position, regardless of the game played. First place in any tournament awards $50,000 (approximately INR 46 lakh) per player. Second place takes home $30,000 (approximately INR 28 lakh), and third place earns $15,000 (approximately INR 14 lakh). This financial model guarantees consistent compensation across the entire competition.
Operational Nuances for EA Titles
While the EF collaborates closely with game partners, clubs, and diverse esports organizations to build this platform, certain publishers maintain independent control over their player selection pipelines. The Esports World Cup Foundation exclusively organizes and conducts the ENC Finals. However, Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) is notably not the organizer of the events and holds no responsibility for their execution.
For titles specifically owned by EA, such as Apex Legends and EA SPORTS FC, team selection and participation are determined through dedicated qualifiers held directly by EA or through direct publisher invitations. These specific pathways operate independently and are not associated with ENC National Team Partners like NODWIN.
Building a Sustainable Future
The ENC provides a structured framework aimed at expanding participation and strengthening local esports ecosystems worldwide by allowing countries to develop their own talent pathways. This recurring format officially introduces nation-based competition to the global esports calendar. Beyond pure competition, the initiative aims to fuel international fandom, inspire new hometown heroes, and provide sustainable growth pathways. The EF, a Riyadh-based non-profit organization, plans to use the biennial ENC and the annual Esports World Cup to grow the industry year-round, support talent development, and create lasting, professional opportunities worldwide.
More details regarding the massive tournament will be released in the coming weeks. Fans can track ongoing updates through the official website at esportsnationscup.com, follow ENC on X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, or follow the Esports World Cup Foundation on LinkedIn.
